1:1 Puppy Training
Alnwick and surrounding areas (from August 2026)
Support with puppy biting, toilet training, confidence and calmness — even before vaccinations are complete
You’ve just brought home a new puppy (or soon will be) and want to give them the best possible start.
You want to enjoy your puppy now while also helping them grow into a calm, confident dog you can enjoy life with in the future.
You know it is important to start getting your puppy safely and positively socialised as soon as possible, but you’re not sure what you can do before they are fully vaccinated.
You may be facing challenges with toilet training, mouthing, not settling if you leave pup alone, chasing the cat or hanging off your clothes when they want your attention! It can be pretty overwhelming, especially with your first puppy.
Rest assured, with my ‘1:1 Puppy Training’ you will receive clear, real-world guidance tailored to the individual needs of you, your family, and your puppy.
I will be there to support you
“Julie is the loveliest, most patient lady with soooo much knowledge about puppies, dogs and behaviour. As first time puppy owners her home start sessions have really helped us set off on the right track. Having the resources of training videos and written information for back up is invaluable. Would highly recommend using Julie if you want to give your puppy the best start. So much so we are booking into the classes too.”

Sheila and Bella
From the very start Bella was always going to be a very much-loved family dog. Her kind humans wanted others to benefit from Bella’s sweet nature too so were looking for something very tailored for Bella’s early days.
Through my Puppy Home Visits programme Bella was able to set off on the right paw by beginning to learn the skills she would need to develop into a well-rounded dog. Sheila commented that, ‘We were so pleased that we found Julie Daniels and Thinking Paws for the training of our puppy last year. Our puppy was purchased by my family with the purpose of becoming an Educational Assistance Dog at my school. To succeed in this role our puppy needed to be calm, gentle and loving and we therefore needed a highly qualified dog trainer and behaviourist to help us on our journey. We carried out lots of research into trainers around our area, but once we conversed with Julie and then met her we knew our search was over. Nothing was too much trouble for Julie and she went above and beyond her role to help us train our puppy to succeed. We can't thank her enough for her continued support. Sheila and Bella the beagle’.
With Sheila’s unwavering support and dedication, Bella has become a favourite school ‘teacher’, entertaining the children and providing friendship. Well done Team Bella!
